Erica + Zach | Stonebridge Events | Maryland Wedding Photographer

Happy May Day my wonderful friends! Today is a day of enjoying us getting ever closer to summer! I tell you I cannot wait for warm days, sunshine, and more time to indulge in nature! With that being said, I am reminiscing on shooting and capturing the amazing weddings that i did in 2019. Erica and Zac kicked my summer off with a BANG!

When i arrived to Stonebridge it was a pleasantly warm day – June 1 in fact! Today I was going to photograph a gorgeous wedding day and tell the story of two gorgeous souls. My process is down pat at this point and I found the bride and groom to be to say hello and see how their day was going – then it was time to capture all the amazing details.

I ADORED Erica’s theme so much! Lush greenery all around, lace, whites, and beautiful Lavander everywhere you turned!  Lavender is one of my favorite flowers in the whole world for its delicious smell and its calming properties. I quite often use essential oils and room sprays to give my home a calming feel! But that’s another story for another time!

After capturing the gorgeous details of the day I was off to spend time with the ladies! Watching the process of getting ready is so fun always – I love makeup and it’s a hobby ive enjoyed for a year now! Coming up with creative combinations for eyeshadow looks and just making someone feel their best – makeup artists are just that – artists!

Can I tell you a secret? Planning for formal photos and family photos before the ceremony helps not only us photographers out but will help you enjoy the day a lot better and take the stress of portraits after the ceremony away. Not only that but we’ll have more time for those coveted couple portraits AND get you to the party faster! With that said, I whisked away the guys and any family members i could to get some pre-ceremony shots!

And so as we approached the ceremony Erica finished getting ready – she adorned the most beautiful open back dress as her bridesmaids wore stunning lavender dresses to match the theme. We grabbed some quick indoor portraits and we were off to the ceremony! It was a stunning ceremony and one of my favorite moments is Erica’s pure excitement and joy when she says “we did it!” to her groom.

Afterward we jumped right into formals and I gotta say the results were so fun and pretty magical. 😉

After that, we enjoyed a fabulous meal and I began to edit and offload as many images as i could during the reception! I had a long drive ahead the next day and i wanted to get a sneak peek out that night!

The reception was a complete BLAST! From grandma’s gettin’ down, blessing the rains down in Africa – as it was raining, to singing bye bye bye  by N’sync I had such an amazing time capturing this day! The next day I was off to Salem, Mass and i edited this wedding as I made my way to the New England town.

Thank you, Erica and Zack, for believing me and allowing me to photograph your big day! I couldn’t be more thankful and I had the greatest time doing it!  I hope this brings you many beautiful memories as we’re one month away from your wedding anniversary!

Cheers to many more my friends!

Stay Inspired + Keep On Dreaming.
