Welcome to the Sandie Narvaez Photography blog!
A lot of you guys know me already if you’re coming from my Facebook Page and you may be a bit confused as to why I now have a second blog. Then there are the people who have no clue who I am, what this blog is about, etc. So, I’ll go ahead and introduce myself!
Hey! I’m Sandie! I’m a 21 year old college student at Frostburg State University majoring in Photography and Graphic Design. I am a senior at FSU this is my last year and by next spring I’ll have my bachelor’s degree! It’s kind of crazy thinking about it! I am currently a freelance photographer and designer. You’ll find me doing weddings, engagements, seniors – pretty much every category there is but, slowly I’m beginning to specialize in weddings and engagements. I love weddings. I really do, they just make me so incredibly happy. So I love spending the whole day with a couple in love! It really is an honor to be a part their big day and I love every second of it!
Design, is another passion of mine. I really love creating cute, artsy, whimsical designs. I realized my design passion probably in 2010 or so – same with photography. I went to a votech high school and, one week I would concentrate on my general studies and then the next I would concentrate on design. I learned how to slik screen, do vinyl, make invitations with raised lettering, binding, and so much more. By the time I graduated high school I could work in any print shop as a designer, print maker, slik screen….er. I could pretty much work anywhere after high school. Of course, I wanted higher education so, I went straight for college!
So, what else do I do besides designing and photographing weddings?
I’m a bit geeky if you want to call it geeky. You guys are gonna get to know me here so, I may as well let you know what I do in my spare time!
I love anime, manga, video games, youtube – all the things. I’m kind of a YouTube addict. I always have YouTube up. ALWAYS.You’ll find me watch everything from gaming videos, beauty vloggers, and educational things…if EatYourKimchi is considered educational. (If you like asian culture – more specifically Korean culture check them out. HILARIOUS!)
Also, RWBY. OH RWBY. It’s a lovely anime created by the great Monty Oum. He created Dead Fantasy way back when, the company Rooster Teeth picked him up because of his killer animation skills. He had always wanted to create his own anime and he did it. I love this show to pieces it has it’s flaws of course but the fact that Monty got to fulfill his dream is awesome. Rest in Peace Monty, we miss you.
Besides living in the internet, you’ll find me hanging out with my husband and my pug Pepper. You can find me editing, drawing, painting, or just hanging out with family and friends. I’m a pretty simple gal and just love to be at home and chill I’m a laid back go with the flow kind of person when it comes to hanging out with people!
So, why did I create this second blog you say? Ive always wanted to see what is was like to manage a website AND a blog separately. A little experiment if you will. So here I am!
What can you expect here?
Photography blogs: I’ll talk about my sessions, weddings, tips, ideas, and the like!
Design: My works in progress at least, for now. I’ve never created a design blog so I’ll have to figure out what to talk about!
And, whatever else I honestly feel like that can go in between! So let’s go on a journey together shall we?
