Photography has been a part of my life as a business for nearly three years now, and with my college career getting ready to come to an end I wanted to think about what it has meant to me to be a photographer. This ride for nearly three years has been an amazing one I have to say. From shooting two weddings in one year to shooting nearly 10 the next this business of mine has gone up and up and I feel like it will only go higher from here.
What does a being a photographer mean to me?
Being a photographer means capturing beautiful moments.
Being a photographer means, getting to know beautiful and amazing souls and even befriending those gorgeous souls.
Being a photographer means you get to meet other photographers who can be some of the coolest people in the world.
Being a photographer means you’ll become great friends with some of those photographers and you’ll never regret it.
Being a photographer means looking at the light in ways your friends never would.
Being a photographer means looking at the ugliest scene ever and thinking it’s absolutely beautiful.
Being a photographer means a sore body after shooting a wedding.
Being a photographer means smiling from ear to ear because you captured an amazing family or couple.
Being a photographer means late nights editing.
Being a photographer means being sleep deprived at times.
Being a photographer means sometimes biting off more than you can chew.
Being a photographer means failure will happen.
Being a photographer means there will be times when you want to give up, put your camera down and never touch it again.
Being a photographer means crying and shutting down when things get especially hard.
Being a photographer means being strong, happy, and photo ready even though you feel like falling a part.
Being a photographer means getting back up despite what your mind is telling you.
Being a photographer means you are strong.
Being a photographer means you are creative.
Being a photographer means you are surrounded by love.
Being a photographer means at the end of the day you wouldn’t change what you do for anything in the world. It means you’re absolutely happy with being able to capture souls beautifully and making people smile because of what you’d captured.
