Three Years & The End of an Era.

Last Friday was my three year anniversary and just like last year, I wasn’t able to celebrate due to finals. It sounds silly but these are my final finals; and that’s seriously so crazy to me. My career as a college student is coming to an end and to be honest, I’m scared and nervous.  The security of just being in college and not having to fully worry about everything will be gone. It’s going to be JUST me and my business. Which is exciting and again, terrifying.

This was only act one.

I’ve studied for exams and edited weddings at the same time, I’ve also ignored papers and tests just so I could edit to deliver, I’ve cried wanting to give up, I’ve broken down, I let people’s viscous words cut me,  I’ve hated myself – but I’ve also loved myself, laughed, met amazing people, started amazing projects; I’ve smiled hard because of the wedding I shot meanwhile my body aches because of shooting for 6-10 hours for a profit of maybe $100.

You read that right. But you know what? I didn’t care.

For the past three years of my business, I’ve underpaid myself, and yeah I’ve definitely over worked myself but it was all for the LOVE and pure passion of it. I have loved every single up and down of this ride. I have you to thank for it; because of all of you the people who believed in me and took a chance on me. Thank you.

This year I’ve shot 10 engagements, 13 weddings, 23 families, 3 seniors and was able to help with and shoot 6 projects. This year has been so jam packed and I have all of you to thank. Here’s to 2017.

Stay Inspired & Keep On Dreaming.
